Bill Kopper is a Colorado-based guitarist known for his grasp on Jazz and World Music styles. He currently plays in such diverse formats ranging from Trumpeter Brad Goode’s Electric Project, Jazz vocalist Rene Marie’s local ensemble “No Maintenance”, New York bandleader Peter Yellen’s R&B group “Dressed in Black”, “Ginga” a Brazilian music group, and Spanish Vocalist Sonya Vallet’s Group “Los Prolfugos Galacticos”.

Bill is also an active studio session player appearing on numerous recordings, such as saxophonist Nelson Rangell’s “Soul to Souls”, drummer Henrique de Almeida’s “Samba Song”, Brad Goode’s “Polytonal Dance Party”, the sound track to jazz singer Rene Marie’s recent show “Slut Energy Theory”, Peruvian Ritual/Folkloric singer Cristina Mendoza-Vidal’s recording “Icaros From the Amazon”, Spanish Vocalist Sonya Vallet’s recent recording “Los Prolfugos Galacticos” and his own two recordings “Samba de Chueca” and “El Oeste”, among many other local recording projects.
Watch for upcoming shows with Bill’s Samba group “Ginga Grande” at The Laughing Goat in Boulder and The Mercury Cafe in Denver, plus other locations TBA. This band has become major draw for the local Brazilian community as well as the for North Americans who love Samba.
